Whew, what a hectic week…Thank god for Saturday and a long weekend…It’s time to kickoff the 08 CFB season!!!
The Huskies visit the much hated Ducks in Eugene tomorrow night in the ‘Columbia Cup’ or ‘Border war’ or ‘UW vs those damn dirty hippies’ (this heated rivalry really needs a name)…’Malamute’ [...]

You better Belize it!

One of the things my bff brought with her on this trip was a CD with pictures from our trip to Belize earlier this year. As I was looking at them, it all came back to me…so even though this happened awhile ago, I couldn’t resist ‘talking up’ the trip because it was truly one of the coolest [...]

My bff moved away to Virginia Beach about a year and a half ago…it seems like it’s been a LONG year and a half! I’ve seen her quite a few times…she’s come home…I’ve visited her there…we take vacations together…but we are both HORRIBLE about the whole phone calls, emails, text messaging thing. And no matter what, it’s just not [...]

Heh, this guy caught a (N.C) state record 21 pound channel cat using 6lb ‘line:’
And his granddaughter’s Barbie ‘Pole:’
HA…Kind of a dubious honor…I’d be ashamed to tell my buddies…
That’s pretty amazing though…I would have laughed my ass off watching this guy ‘reel’ it in…

Time to wrap-up the 100% biased pac-10 predictions…Also posted at the Saturday Football Update.
Washington Huskies (2007 results: 4-9, 2-7 pac-10)
…Can Montlake Jake ’superman’ Locker lead this team to the promised land? You betcha…
…All of our opponents will be gunning for him…If he gets injured it’s going to be an ugly season..
Luckily, the Huskies have one of the better [...]
Packin’ 10…(part 4)

100% biased and ignorant pac-10 predictions continued:
Oregon Ducks (2007 results: 9-4, 5-4 pac-10). Beat South Florida in the Sun Bowl.
…Ask any UW Husky which team they ‘hate’ the most and the answer will likely be “Those gotdamn Ducks.”
The UW-Whoregon rivalry has grown significantly over the past few years mostly because Duck fans are jerks, especially [...]

With a Robert Earl Keen song stuck in my head (some of yous bass angler guys know the one) I spent most of the weekend out chasing those little green bastards…
…Fishing the lakes that nobody else will even consider because the WDFW doesn’t stock them? Yep, right up my alley…Oh, the Warshingtonlakes site doesn’t have any good [...]

Seems to be my summer for going to see 80’s rock stars in concert…and it was another great show – – Pat Benatar this time. We all decided to go because we thought it would be kind of funny, but we were totally impressed by the end of the show. She rocked!
Of course, you’re not supposed to take [...]

I work at a GREAT company, that has been trying to do some good things for the employees to promote health and wellness. In this case, we sponsored a ‘Lunch & Learn’ where someone came in and talked to the employees about nutrition for 30 minutes during lunch (duh…’lunch’ and learn??). We provided some ‘healthy’ snacks [...]
Trying someplace new…

A couple of friends and I decided to try the new wine bar in Kirkland at Carillon Point. The wine and food were EXCELLENT (we only had appetizers…but everyone else’s dinner looked delish!). The location and atmosphere were outstanding – they have a great patio practically right on the water.
I hate the whole ’scene’ in [...]
