Another Dawg Day…

…As Jmac mentioned in the previous post, ‘thank god for tailgating’ because there wasn’t much to cheer for on the field!
The weather has been awesome so far this year and it was a beautiful evening at Husky Stadium:

The bad news: We lost more than the Game. We lost our stud QB Jake ‘Superman’ Locker to [...]

Thank God for tailgating…

We have been super lucky that every home game so far this year has started out with the sun shining.  It makes for some excellent tailgating!
This week’s version was a ‘family affair’ spanning three generations between the parents, the kids, and the grandkids.  Good clean fun…

In amongst all the ‘family’ activities, the adults drank.  It was mostly [...]

Blast from the past…

Wow!  Sometimes people just drop back into your life from nowhere and it’s like they were never gone…I hadn’t seen or heard from my friend, Brian, in 2 years…until Thursday when he called me to catch up.
I’ve known him since he was 15 years old…over 20 years.  He’s more like another brother than a friend.
Brian [...]

Black Butterfly

Go Getcha’ some:

The ‘BuckCharlie’…What I consider to be one of the only ‘real’ rock’ n’ roll bands left on the radio these days…I’m still amazed that lead singer Josh Todd is still alive…We placed bets a few years ago that he would be taking a ‘dirt nap’ by now…
Not quite as good as the last album [...]

Last boating hurrah?

We decided to get out on Lake Washington today to celebrate one of the last beautiful days of summer in Seattle (and I have the sunburn to prove it!).  This may end up being the last time out on the boat this year…I was looking at the weather forecast and it looks like the rain is [...]

Later, Sooners!

…Of course I mean that in a respectful manner and it has nothing to do with the 55-14 smack that the DAWGS took yesterday…
…Ya gotta love this picture on the front page of the Seattle not-so-good-Times sports section today:

…Credit to the Oklahoma football team, they are phenomenal…I expect to see them vs USC in a championship [...]

Bummer dawgs…

Another beautiful football day in Seattle…late afternoon game and the sun was shining!  Later games are always entertaining because people have more time to pre-funk.  This was no exception!

Lots of ‘fancy’ tailgaters in this section of the parking lot…

Lots of beer pong being played…I watched for a minute, trying to understand the rules…maybe someone can explain [...]

Worth the drive…

Some friends and I went to the Puyallup Fair last night to see Josh Gracin and Sara Evans in concert.  Total driving time from my office to Puyallup…about 2 hours.  GAH!
Before the show, we ate…we looked at some animals…we went on a ride…and we people-watched.  Here’s a picture of one of the ‘quality’ food establishments [...]

Kicking a bad habit?

Hmmm…I started chewing tobacco ‘full-time’ when I was a freshman in college…That was damn near exactly 15 years ago…Ouch…

Of course I’ve heard about the bad things that stuff can do to you…But I’m young, healthy, ten-foot-tall and bulletproof mofo…Heh…
…I went to the Mariners game (again) vs. Tejas the other night…It’s that time of year when [...]

Gameday Gear…

Take your pick:

I have new seats this year in the “Horseshoe” over by the ‘Husky Tunnel.’ I absolutely love them and the folks around me are great…
What are the chances that I get a Notre Dame fan sitting behind me (notice the tattoo)?

Go figure…They are actually very nice folks…
Yep, it’s going to be a FUN [...]
